Had to get a different carseat

I gave this 2 stars instead of just 1 because I liked the neutral pattern, and it looks nice and the stroller seems to be pretty good although we've only been able to use it a few times due to the weather where I live. I was disappointed when I got this that the base for the carseat did not adjust up and down but once we installed it that was okay because it reclined enough that the baby wasn't flopping forward. When we first got this you could not buy a 2nd base for another vehicle, now that you can I won't be buying one because we are not using this carseat anymore. It was a little difficult getting the carseat in and out of the base at first but now after using it for a few months the seat won't even lock into the base correctly (NOT good if we were to get into an accident!) and is extremely difficult to get it out of the base, I practically gave my baby whiplash jerking and pulling because it was stuck so bad. So I dug out my son's Graco snugride which is a few years old, cleaned it up, and started using it instead which is much easier. Disappointing because I really wanted a matching travel system for this baby. I reccomend going with a Graco instead and they don't cost much more.

Slightly pricey but sleek

I bought 3 of these systems now. They're easy to use and will last quite a while. Assembly is minimal and easy. The only pain point about this thing is making sure the car seat is securely locked into it's base. It's easy to seat it without locking it, you have to push until it clicks which anything in the base will prevent it from doing so (like a dirty paper towel or so).

The other thing is the price point and any extra bases for the car seats are quite expensive.

Not safe

I bought this travel system a few months ago and put it together, everything seemed fine. Had my baby and went to put the car seat into the base to leave the hospital and it would not lock into the base all the way. Locks in closest to the seat but has no way of locking toward the back of the car seat can just be lifted up with minimal pressure. DOES NOT SEEM SAFE. I would give it zero stars if that was an option.

Love it!

I've had this travel system picked out since before I got pregnant, so I'm very happy that it met my expectations. I did plenty of research and honestly kept an open mind when reading and reviewing other strollers / car seats. I knew I wanted a travel system because you know that your car seat will fit the stroller and they will match. I went with Baby Trend because the stroller is a jogger with inflatable rubber tires, the car seat base uses LATCH, and mostly because the price is realistic. (I paid $250 for the Baltic.) I liked certain features of the Graco Trekko stroller better, but overall Baby Trend had features that were more important to me. (ie, CUP HOLDERS!!)

Most of the bad reviews refer to the bulk of the stroller, a wobbly front wheel, and a bad speaker. I'll address those first.

1. This stroller is large, but that's what you get with joggers. I'm excited that I'll have room to bundle my baby during the winter without stuffing her into the seat. I have a Kia Soul and the cargo space isn't large, but this stroller fits just fine when I fold the handle down. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I have no trouble lifting the stroller and putting it in the car by myself. (If you're a smaller person or need to maneuver the stroller into a smaller trunk, I can understand why the size would bother you.)
2. I haven't used the stroller yet so I'm not sure about the front wheel. I do know that upon arrival, the swivel bolt is not very tight. You have to tighten it before screwing on the foot guard. IF you skip this step, it states right on the stroller that there may be wobble. I'm not a runner / jogger so I'm not worried about this. I don't lock the front wheel either - it's impossible to steer ANY stroller with the front wheel locked. If I were a serious jogger, I'd probably be willing to drop more money on something else.
3. I did test out the speaker and it works fine. It does sound a little muffled with the lid closed, so I might keep it open when the weather is good. Overall, it's not a BOSE, so don't expect perfection. It beats wearing headphones. How safe is that?

What I love about this stroller: It was easy to assemble. I put it together in about 30 minutes without instructions. (It came with instructions, I just overlooked them.) I also love the large inflatable wheels. I will never use a stroller with plastic wheels again. This creates a smoother ride for my kid and I'm not worried about strolling through mud or rough gravel. I love the adjustable handle. My husband and I are both tall, so it's not a necessary feature, but sometimes it's nice to reposition your grip. Also, my four-year-old daughter is excited that she can reach and help Mommy push her sister. As an Ohio State Buckeye fan I love the color! Scarlet and Gray! It's technically a little boyish, but I didn't want a pink stroller and I hate the cutesy baby designs of the "neutral" strollers. Just in general, Baby Trend offers so many different color options and their website is easy to navigate. I love the LATCH system for the car seat. It took me about a minute to install the base. I love that there is a little window, indicating if the car seat is level. My old Eddie Bauer seat didn't do that and I always felt that the seat was in the wrong position.

This stroller isn't for everybody. Valid reasons would be the size and a wobbly wheel IF you jog / run. Anything else I don't see why there would be negative feedback. I love this stroller and cannot wait for June so I can start using it!

LOVE baby trend!!!!

I have gotten SO much use out of this stroller. I had this with my first son and used it at the mall, hiking on trails, walks through the neighborhood, and intense jogs on pavement. I had umbra strollers and other strollers that came with his car seat, but preferred this one every time for every situation (for my second baby I bought the baby trend car seat to use with this stroller, because it is so amazing). I have used many more costly strollers and still love this one the best. It is SO easy to get through aisles or up bumpy hills, and it is such an easy ride on the baby, my son got to the point where we would only nap in the stroller. The handy swivel switch button for the front wheel makes it SO easy to switch from a slow walk to a jog in just a second. This jogging stroller is truly the best!

I have to say its awesome but if you are looking to fit it in a smaller vehicle (audi a4 sedan) not going to work out other than that its 5 star.

Loved this stroller until it broke

We loved this stroller for our baby girl until the folding mechanism broke. It's a beautiful stroller, easy to put together, easy to use. However, after about 3 months of mild-low use, the folding mechanism broke. We contacted Graco and they were awesome. Can't say enough about Graco as a company!

Loved it, until I learned about.....

I love the stroller. The car seat and base is great too, but now that I am looking at convertible car seats I would not buy this again. My only two problems with this car seat is one.... it only goes to 22 lbs. Graco makes other infant sets like this that go to 30lbs. Two the harness straps are adjusted from the back of the car seat. I thought this would make it easier to adjust compared to the button adjustment between the legs that other models have and I was wrong. The straps are constantly coming loose. Now that my daughter is 8 months old she is strong enough to wiggle her torso forward and break out of the 5 point harness. It was great until she learned to push herself up with her elbows.

Love ALMOST everything

I purchased this for our fourth child -- we had worn out our old stroller!

Here are the pros of this:

*Great color, subtle and gender-neutral, fashionable, but not too trendy
*LOVE the stroller -- it is light and easy to fold and unfold
*The basket under the stroller is a good size
*One-hand steering on the stroller! This is great!
*The stroller and seat are sturdy, good quality Graco

Here are the cons:

*Actually, there is only one con, but for me it has been a big one: The infant seat straps tighten separately and adjust at the back of the seat. Both of our older Graco SnugRides adjusted at the front of the seat with a single strap between the baby's legs. The back adjust does allow you to adjust each side more accurately, I suppose, but it requires two hands to do it right and takes more time (and time is of the essence when you have 4 kids!). It is also really difficult to loosen/tighten the straps when the seat is in the base in the car or set on the stroller, because you're at an awkward angle and there isn't a lot of clearance to pull down. I often carry my son in a sling in stores, etc. and getting him back in the seat is frustrating, especially when I am in a hurry and/or when it has been very cold and I am trying to get him in and the car door closed as quickly as possible.

If I had known the adjust on this was at the rear of the seat, I may have chosen a different travel system. Of course, it is our fault that we didn't get it ready until I was ready to leave the hospital with our new baby, but I never thought the design would be different than what it's always been. I have seen the front adjust on other new SnugRides, so I am not sure why this has the rear adjustment.

Great travel system.

We have only used this travel system for a couple of weeks, but we think this is a great buy. Easy to put together, easy to use, it may not be the most sophisticated system around, but it gets the job done. Beautiful too! The car seat base was very easy to install in our car, and the car seat snaps in and out very fast, and our baby girl is gets very comfortable in it. Same thing with the stroller, it may not be the lightest around, but it has enough space for our diaper bag, its easy to manuever, and when you fold it, it fits easily in a mid size car trunk. The only thing we have found is that the stroller's seat doesn't recline all the way to a horizontal position, it goes only 2/3 of the way.

Bluegrass Blues for Baby #3

I was really excited about this product being so much cheaper than the Quattro series and still having the quality Graco Snugride carseat. Unfortunately, there are two features that made it a necessity to return.

One, the carseat is NOT front-adjust. That means every time the baby has a coat on or grows or the seasons change, someone has to get behind the carseat and change the straps manually. Ack! Thankfully we figured out this problem before we were sweating in the car at Christmas trying frantically to adjust a carseat running late on our way to Grandma's or something.

Second deal breaker for us is that the seat does not recline flat. The stroller is essentially useless to us without the carseat attached until our baby is out of infancy. This may not be an important feature for you, but it was vital to us and the way we use a stroller.

Other things to think about:

The print isn't that bad. It is much more bland than the picture online, but it's not horrible.
The collapsing of the stroller really is effortless. Although it's still big, heavy, and bulky, it does fold together very easily.
Also, the headrest is pretty poor. You'll definitely need to buy some additional sort of head or body support if you intend to use the carseat for an infant.
All in all, if it weren't for the seat recline and the back-adjust, I would've rated this system at least a 4. It's a great system if those things aren't important to you.

Better than I expected!

I was looking for a new stroller for my upcoming third child. I had a Graco Metrolite for my first two children which I liked very much. I purchased it in 2005 and it's held up since, but the Metrolite is showing some wear so hubby and I decided we should invest in a new light weight stroller. I originally thought I wanted a smaller version of a full sized stroller (like the Jeep Cherokee Sport Stroller) but after a number of visits to Universal Studios and Disneyland, I realized how much I enjoyed having 1) a big basket to store jackets, snacks, the diaper bag, etc., 2) having cup holders for our drinks, and 3) a full reclining seat for the little one to take a nap. And especially now more than ever since we'll have 3 children (more stuff to carry in the stroller!).

Some of the higher end brands didn't have a big enough basket for us, so we eliminated those options. We decided to stick w/ Graco since it's been a reliable brand for us. We tried out several Graco models, and found them frustrating to fold down. Hubby and I had difficulty using the rolling mechanism on the handles of most models, and were seeking the similar fold down style on the Metrolite (a push button/handle on the parent cup holder). The "Fast Action Fold" model also proved to be somewhat of an annoyance for us to fold down also. Alas, I came across the UrbanLite model and saw that it had the features I was seeking! I tried going to several baby stores to see and try out this stroller in person, but none of the stores I went to carry this model. So in faith, I purchased this and hoped it met my expectations.

The stroller just arrived this past weekend, and I do have to say the UrbanLite has exceeded my expectations!

Pros:
1) Easy to assemble - My 38 week pregnant self was able to easily put this stroller together.
2) The basket is big and roomy!
3) It has microfiber detailing, makes the stroller feel more luxurious
4) The canopy can detach and you can adjust it up/down to block the sun's rays from baby
5) Reclines flat (most other Graco models I tried out don't seem to do that)
6) The Vance pattern is nice and neutral - good for boys or girls
7) Lightweight and compact - It weighs under 20 lbs, and it actually folds up smaller than my old Metrolite and takes up less space in my trunk
8) Handle is adjustable for shorter/taller parents
9) Comes with the matching SnugRide 30 Infant car seat, which also feels luxurious compared to my old SnugRide.
10) You can lock the front wheels to easily maneuver over gravel and grass. Neat feature!
11) It has the same fold down feature as the Metrolite!

Cons:
1) No peek-a-boo window in the canopy
2) The seat can only adjust to 3 levels (upright, slight recline, and full/flat recline)
3) When you raise the seat again after a recline postion, the side covers bunch up. You have to go in from the front end and push the fabric back down. This is a bit annoying, but overall a minor inconvenience for me.

Overall, I would highly recommend this stroller! So glad I was able to find this model available on Amazon!

Great Product for the price

I really like this travel system. Pros: it's lite, easy to fold, folds relatively flat, fits in the trunk of my Corolla nicely, infant seat goes to 30 lbs., neutral colors, nice fabric, easy to put together, rolls smoothly, adjustable handle. Cons: storage basket doesn't drop down for access, no peakaboo window. Otherwise it suits its purpose just fine. I would recommend this to a friend. I've had my product for about a month now and I still like it very much.

Love it!

My little girl is now 3 months old and so far we've been very happy with the travel system. It was bought for us as a gift, but I have to agree with other reviews that the item cycled in and out of stock constantly. The best price was when sold directly through Amazon.

Pros:
+ Baby adores her car seat and the infant insert gives her good head support.
+ The rotating canopy is so useful to ensure that baby is always shaded, and the stroller and car seat canopies overlap to protect from rain or bright sunlight.
+ The basket is big and stores our large diaper bag, plus a blanket, plus my purse with space to spare.
+ The pattern is great, and baby loves to stare at the geometric pattern on the inside of the canopy.
+ The seat of the stroller reclines flat, and the flap at the bottom can fold up to form a bassinet.
+ The recline function is a pair of metal bars which are squeezed together to change the angle. I found this mechanism much easier to use than the "drawstring" on other Graco models.
+ Easy to fold up - just squeeze the mechanism on the handle and step on the edge of the basket.
+ I liked that the stroller was able to stand upright when folded, and the tray table etc. need not make contact with the ground.
+ My husband is a foot taller than I am, and the adjustable handle for the stroller makes things easy for both of us.

Cons:
- Assembly was generally easy, but we struggled to close one of the sets of poppers that attach the material to the storage basket. We decided this wasn't worth the hassle of returning the product and we eventually managed - with two people and a pair of pliers...
- The seat of the stroller needs to be reclined for the car seat to click into place, but this makes it difficult to reach into the storage basket.
- The car seat clicks into the stroller, but there are also some elastic straps that have to be placed into slots on each side. The extra two steps can be a pain.
- Undoing the car seat straps is often difficult. I understand that a child cannot be able to take of his/her own seatbelt, but I struggle.

Overall, I'm happy with the product and would recommend it to others!

Great value- great price

This is a great car seat and stroller for the price (I got it on sale for $118). This seems to be built well with quality materials. The only negative to it is there are 2 large tags on the car seat that are not sewn on! :( So aesthetically it's an eyesore to an otherwise chic infant carrier!! I get the importance of safety and warnings... but these seem like overkill. I will get creative and probably sew some soft fabric over them.
On the plus side after contacting the company I found out the Mia Moda car seat base works with this set. Overall, when on sale there are no other brands that offer this quality for the price!

I like how light weight both the car seat and stroller are i have a couple flights of stairs I have to go up to my apartment so light is good. It's sturdy as well i put everything together and gave it all a good shake and roll and everything stayed in place. It's compact which is another big bonus as Our place is small. I'll do a rewrite once she's here and I've actually gotten to use it all,
